The process in knowing how to disable call forwarding is simple:
- Everyone knows that call forwarding is a telephone service that can help people transfer calls to people whenever or wherever they are. If you want to disable call forwarding on your telephone, the process is not difficult at all. The first thing you need to do when you disable call forwarding on your telephone is to lift the handset and dial *73 or #73. If you are using a Sprint PCS phone, then you will need to dial *720. But in most cases, to disable call forwarding, you can always dial the number 73.
- However, there are other numerical codes to follow when you disable call forwarding. If you want to disable call forwarding meant only for no-answer or busy calls, then you will have to dial *88, you can dial *91 if you plan only to forward busy phone calls.
- Once you you have dialed *73, wait for a series of beeps on the other end of the line. The series of beeps indicates that you are on the process to disable call forwarding on your telephone. Once you've heard the beeps, just put down the handset.
- To disable call forwarding correctly, you will have to call the phone number using another phone to check it. If it rings on the correct line, then the process of knowing how to disable call forwarding is a success.
- If you have any problems and you cannot disable call forwarding properly, then you will need to seek the help of the telephone company. The telephone company will disable call forwarding for you. Just tell them the steps you've made on how to disable call forwarding, so they can figure out the problem.
- If you want to enable call forwarding on your telephone, you will have to do the same steps again. This time, though, instead of dialing #73, push #72. Since #73 is to disable call forwarding, #72 is to enable the service back to your telephone. Once you have dialed the number, put down the handset and wait for it to ring. Once it rings, pick up the phone and put it down again. This makes confirms the service. Once you are done, you can check by calling the number using a different phone to see if you have correctly enabled call forwarding on your telephone. And after some time, if you want to disable call forwarding again, then, you can repeat the same process mentioned earlier on.
